living in pain
Saturday, July 23rd, 2005as of the age 20, i am officially aging. my body isnt as it used to be. must be the abuse i put myself through. i used to actively participate in running, long distance jogging, bowling and soccer. now my left leg is out of order. too much pressure on it has caused it to cause problems in different areas. i used to have an achilles heel problem, due to soccer and driving (a tendon at the back of the heel). now its ok, but then the hamstring acted up, due to the same reasons and bowling. the hamstring is a muscle (i think) that is under the thigh. that problem is still there but not as severe as it used to be, but its still there. then there is the knee cap problem. it used to click everytime i bent my knee. it was ok for a while, but started back when i was stuck in traffic 2 days ago. and starting last week, i had a pulled muscle. it was a upper thigh/hip muscle. and now i know how it feels like to have a pulled muscle. after watching countless pro soccer players scream in pain when they get a pulled/tight muscle, i know how it feels to share the pain. and it hurts like hell. the reason? the weather. one night, when i was having an evening nap, the weather was very very cold, and it was also raining. and when i woke up late that night, i couldnt lift my leg up without having a few thousand needles poking into my leg. it felt like that. and with jolts of electricity too. i couldnt fucking sleep the whole night. and the next day. heck i couldnt even sit without feeling some sort of pain. there was no choice. it was either some pain or excruciating pain. hell even lying down hurt. and i couldnt stay in any leg position. so i had to change posture every few minutes or else my leg would send jolts of pain up to my brain. but the past few days has gotten considerably better. i was limping around for 4 days coz i couldnt lift my leg. talk about dead weight. getting into my car took a full 15 seconds. had to use my arm to lift the leg into position. luckily driving used mostly the heel muscles and the knee, which at that time wasnt that bad (the knee acting up was recent, went to low yat at 5.00pm…. yeah, in the middle of traffic). and unluckily for me i drive a manual car. and my stomach problem. just now went with parents to damai service hospital, and they dont have a gastroentology specialist, so looks like i’ll need to go to a government hospital and do a lot of waiting. and my parents took my car until monday, their flight back to brunei is on tuesday. nid to go class w/o car… zzzzz
