boy its been a freaking long time since i last posted here. and havent been checking friendster regularly even though i already got streamyx connected. my friend’s list on friendster is actually dwindling in size! heh. it’s like peak oil, only with friends. google up peak oil if ya dont know it. anyways. studying. varying degrees of success. lol. just bought a bike, LeRun Solaris. with front and rear lights, helmet and almost 2m long lock, cost me seven hundred and seventy bucks. yeap. fucking expensive. and it was actually one of the cheapest at the shop. a bike specialist shop. sells bike worth up to RM25k. been cycling around on it, trying to get used to cycling in general, and the roads here. havent actually pedalled to class with it (which was the original intention of getting the bike) due to usually leaving for class too late. anyways, i am getting some sort of excercise by walking about 500m to college from the petronas station i park at(the college charges a buck per entry, i’m a stingy bastard so i park where its free). anyways will update more if i receive any comments which would usually indicate that some actually read my blog. which i highly doubt. haih. my literary genius would be such a waste if it were to continue to be unappreciated. :(

exhaustion

May 25th, 2008 by rmzblur

i had 4 days of pure exertion. on wednesday mahesa came over. gave him further lessons on swimming for at least 3 hours. was tired by then. very. then his gf needed a transport to her sister’s place at tropicana from college. her sis was supposed to pick her up but was too lazy. and her sister didnt let her take an lrt. kinda stupid eh? scared of untrustable people. told her to look for a friend to send her. turns out the friend was the friend of the person her family doesnt want her seeing again. talk shunning some1 and then asking for their help, although indirectly. anyways, long drive, finally had supper after all the driving and swimming (didnt have lunch, only had a light brunch, so metabolism was very low). then went back. mahesa stayed over. he was busy burning stuff for his gf before their last meeting on friday and i tried to stay up to help him choose stuff that might be good (all of the stuff was from my pc. most of them not yet seen by me. i copy and keep, rarely do i watch 500+gigs of stuff in the hard disks and about 50 dvds, would take days to finish watching). but i gave up at around 5am. he gave up at 6. woke up bloody late, thought of going to the kota damansara community forest trail to look for branches to decorate my sugar glider’s cage (it was a box actually). the forest was in front of my house. anyways, went at 4pm. found branches, thought of going til the end and out the other entrance in front of the school beside my house. so i wasnt too worried about getting lost. until we found many forks in the path. and it seemed to be getting deeper in the forest. so mahesa suggested we turn back. so we did. and got lost. at about 5.30 when we werent sure where we were going (too many forks) we called his mom to inform her. and if we didnt contact her in half an hour, she was to call the police. anyways, she didnt wait (6pm would be pretty late to mobilise a search party, and a night search is very risky and much harder to do). anyways, the forest was starting to play subtle tricks on us. hahaha. noises, mostly. luckily none of us freaked out, and i was leading the whole way. anyways i remembered that the sun set west (duh) and more importantly, i remembered that the direction from the forest towards my house is also west. so we tried to follow the sun. and hope that the path (parts of it that we did find before losing again) led west(which it didnt usually do). our second guide was to look for a stream, which led to the lake/swamp leading out. unfortunately, we were too far out and the valleys between hills were dry unlike the stream we first saw. and the thickets were too thick in the valley. further proof of no waterways. so we decided to follow the sun and pathways. besides, looking for a waterway involves going down to valleys. and from that geographic location u cant catch any sight of the sun, which would further hamper efforts to get out. anyways, got calls from the selangor police hq at shah alam, then PJ police station, then kota damansara police station, then a police officer that was outside the forest, reading to head in. various calls. anyways, we were already prepared mentally about the possibilities of sleeping in the forest. but the police wouldnt let that happen i guess. i am a leo and my pride doesnt like me asking for help and troubling people, and it was mahesa’s mom that called the police. lol. anyways, the police officer called, asked if i heard a siren they turned on. couldnt hear it except from his side of the phone. so we were pretty (very) far off. anyways, after crossing many pathways and doubling back various times due to loss of the trail and other various reasons, we found a trail and followed it. it was a place we were sure we didnt recognise but we couldnt find any other trails so we kept to it. heading uphill. then i saw a clearing about 50 meters. could have been a ridge or cliff, so we could get a clear view rather than just more trees and hills. told mahesa to wait on the trail while i checked it out (if we both went and didnt find anything worthwhile, we wouldnt have been able to find the trail again). turns out the trail lead to terraces on a hillside. had a clear view of lots of bungalows and a water tank. so we didnt the logical thing and went downhill. even though the weeds were almost shoulder height and there could be many things lurking in there like snakes. but we were too overjoyed and desperate (desperate, mostly) to get out that we were willing to bulldoze out way through the brush. got lotsa of lacerations on arms for that too. anyways, we got out at 6.50pm. police patrol who were patrolling the area based on our descriptions found us and brought us to the starting place. boy was that a workout. we reeked and our clothes were unwearable. had our statements taken and got an interview with sinar newspapers and pics taken (not sure if we came out in the news though, we didnt actually buy sinar. we werent in the star though). made good time i would say. soaked ourselves in the pool after showering, then went to meet real estate agent to pass him the keys to the house we were renting. then he called again half an hour later (when we were already on our way to gombak to send mahesa home) and wanted the access cards (made the access cards on our names so we were to send it back in and get our deposits back) so passed them to him with the receipt. then went to mahesa’s. his mom cooked dinner, shared our experiences with him. overstayed, and tried to call sean but he didnt answer (turns out he had catering until midnight. i hate it when people make parties lasting that long) and i assumed his mom was already asleep. i didnt want to sleep in the car in front of his house, so i slept at mahesa’s. woke up at 6.30am after sleeping at 4am. u dont wanna know what i was doing til that time. had breakfast at the mamak near his house and then headed out to sean’s at ampang. breakfast was a little too heavy (roti sardin and roti telur). and oily. hadnt had any roti canai or its derivatives in a long time and my stomach didnt like the oil. almost vomitted a few times, so i waited. didnt want to drive in that condition. headed out at 7.30 to find the mrr2 in a massive jam. arrived at 8.10. was supposed to be heading out from sean’s at 8.00. lol. so i didnt manage to take a bath (unclean, i know, but i did take a late bath the previous night so i didnt reek). lol. went through the store looking for stuff to bring and preparing everything, then left at 8.20. luckily took jln ampang which thankfully had smooth traffic (police controlled junctions, smooth path into the city). arrived at 8.50am, hurriedly carrried everything out of the car and up the building and prepared breakfast by 9.10. 9.30am drove back to sean’s place to help cook lunch and send it out. sent it at 11am to find that parking taken. had to park further (and thus carry stuff further) and prepared lunch by 12pm. waited and waited (didnt eat anything the whole time). turns out the ppl ordering the food werent heavy eaters and there was a lot of leftovers (about half, actually). waited for all the cleaner ladies and tea ladies to eat and tapau as much as they could before packing up. while sending the stuff down, found the parking was taken (again). more heavy lifting and at unwanted extra distances. and turns out the combination of breakfast and lunch was overflowing the car. had to put a huge case on the front passenger seat to fit everything. turns out that case made it so that i couldnt put my car in first or second gear. what luck eh? the drive back was hell. overweight car with and underpowered engine that cant even get into 1st or 2nd gear? ridiculous. was honked at in that 40 minute drive more than the total i have been honked at my whole life. was bushed by the time i reached sean’s. anyways, straightaways did the dishes upon returning at 3.50pm. was sleepy and dizzy and tired due to no lunch and sleep deficit. but soldiered on. turns out that the wedding was for saturday, not sunday. misinformation. and i was on cooking duty. holy shit. cooked til 10pm, slept at 12 cos i had to send 2 kids back for them to take a shower, then pick them up again to sleep over. woke up at 5am and cooked up until 9am. imagine rowing a boat for 4 hours. did 2 huge periuks and 4 kualis of food. biceps were burning. slept, wasnt needed for waiter duty (thankfully). slept on the floor, too lazy to get on the bed. cold floor+fatigue=aching muscles upon waking up. then had to send sean’s little bro to tuition at pudu at 3.45 and pick him up 2 hours later. had brunch in between. later that night sent 2 of the workers back. one at cheras, the other at jinjang near kepong. went to mahesa’s again. lepak again til early morning. busy youtubing martial arts stuff (i know, corny right. boys will be boys). finally drove back at 4am. slept like a log til evening and promptly fell sick. body was bloody weakened, so all the viruses decided to act, which further made the body weaker. anyways, havent actually fully recovered and head hurts abit so i’m making tons of typing errors so dont blame me for being sloppy. i actually lost 1kg through the whole ordeal. something i havent managed to do in a long while. been gaining alot though throughout the years. heh.

the past week

January 25th, 2008 by rmzblur

ok, so i’ve been doing some bloody catering to earn money since i’m not getting any allowance. anyways, the admissions dude from segi called and said that i was accepted and that the semester commences on april. i was like "wtbloodyfuck? " at the open day they said that it started in february. and now he says its starting on april. so i have to get a job, something more routine that catering which is based on orders. anyways, this week has been pretty productive, did catering 3 days, solo work. 3 meals, breakfast lunch afternoon tea at wisma allianz insurance near st. john’s church. 23 pax, so i could handle it alone. but the bloody driving sucked. anyways, there was a new security guard at that building (nepalese) which barely understood english or malay. and he thought i was a fellow nepalese. must be the nose. lol.

anyways, i’m reconsidering my options. still wanna go to the uk. maybe 2nd choice would be swinburne or curtin. both in sarawak. foreign universities branch campus. in malaysia there are only 4. monash, nottingham, curtin and swinburne. monash and nottingham is bloody expensive although they are highly ranked in the world ratings. curtin and swinburne aint bad, as recognized as the aussie campus, can transfer to the aussie campus oso. cos the course that i applied for at segi is a uk degree. a franchise degree. which might not hold as much weight compared to the other options. and the university of sunderland isnt really highly rated. anyways, in mechanical engineering what potential employers look for are the mechanical engineering departments of the respective tertiary institutions. and being a franchise college, it wont be as complete as one from a full fledged uni. my plan is to apply to go to the uk, if i get accepted go apply for a loan from mara, if i dont get the loan i’ll go to swinburne/curtin. segi is the last choice. i think. the problem is, swinburne starts in february. curtin not sure when. so maybe enroll in swinburne september semester if i havent gone anywhere else. the most stable choice is segi. its near the house in kota damansara, i wont have to get used to the environment, and i can establish more of a base. and i get to use a car. for the uk, its a stab in the dark, but the exposure and change of environment would hopefully fulfill my potential. curtin and sarawak would cost more since its a year longer than segi and i have to pay for accomodations and other stuff. the cost/year is marginally more expensive compared to segi. no transportation either. hurm.

i dont want to make a choice that i’m gonna regret. which is main problem. i’m tired of ‘going with the flow’

updates on life.

any okay, so this month i’m not getting any funding from my parents. so i have to find a job (or find a way of sustaining my existance without the usage of money, lol). currently i havent even started looking. cos i’m not sure what employers would want to hire some1 for just a month (since i should be starting classes in feb). and i’m pretty choosy. i wouldnt want to do something that isnt worth my bloody time. pretty high on my list is data entry (home based preferred), waiter at the curve (good restaurants, decent pay, cheap parking and not far from home<<very important!), shop promoter/sales at the curve (should have less pay if not include commissions, but not too hard work). but i havent been sitting idle and comtemplating my next move. no no no. that is what unproductive people to do. i also (yes, i had been sitting idle abit. lol) did some catering. weekend, 2 days. weddings. the best pay. rm120 for 2 days work aint bad. almost the same as a whole week’s pay at 7-11. so thats y i’m choosy. as i said, i wanna do something that is worth my time. on the other hand, during those 2 weddings, i was exposed to the bloody rain and now i have the flu. already past the peak, subsiding. currently clearing the phlegm with mah super powderful lung capacity and diaphram muscle power. and boy there are loads of phlegm coming out from the depths of my throat and even from the chest (not sure if from the lungs or not). anyways, i’m optimistic that i can sustain myself without getting a ‘real’ job. the catering should sustain me if there are enough (hopefully). and i’m too lazy to get a job since i hate rejection. yes, i’m a leo. tomorrow got another catering, 500 ppl. should be payed less compared to weddings, but i’m also doing the cooking so maybe i get more (too lazy to cook for weddings. sitting on ass for hours doesnt appeal to me). but i do want to get a more routine job. procrastination and the fear of rejection just gets the better of me. and i’m a pretty frank person, so i would tell the interviewer than i’m only going to work for a month. i dont believe in lying/deceiving (although sometimes i conceal the truth. but i dont endorse it.lol) and then suddenly going MIA after a month. i like to have cordial relationships with everyone and dont want to sour relationships even with people i might not ever meet again. cos nobody can predict the future. at least nobody i know personally. hurm. anyways happy new year (again). hoping that this year is one that is more productive for me. horoscopes say this year is something that i should be succeeding in things. so yeah. need to explore opportunities. already got a few in mind. hurm.

temporary insanity is the plea

December 29th, 2007 by rmzblur

on the 24th of december, i snapped momentarily. It felt great. Stupid sis was pushing her luck. Getting on my nerves and called me cacat. I believe that term should be used sparingly and only when appropriate. I respect and pity the handicapped and I thank God that I was born normal. For that blind ignorant bitch to use that word not only shows that she doesnt respect me and the handicapped, she also doesnt appreciate what she has in her life. and i cant respect someone like that. anyways i gave her a sidekick and shoved her to the pillar. we were at the parking spot at komtar and everyone was tired. earlier that day we went hiking up bukit bendera and she was keeping everyone down. her 1st time up and she was too confident. took us 4 and a half bloody hours to get up there. not to mention that the hiking trail was changed. anyways my dad had me in a chokehold and i let go of her. i was dead calm and thinking clearly. it wasnt actually rage (or maybe i dont know the meaning of the word), but i wanted to teach her a lesson about respect. anyways, we went to komtar to get me a watch. after me countlessly ruining them, i figured that if they got me something more expensive i would take care of it better. lol. so i got a tissot. there were others, a higher tech seiko that looked cooler and had a perpetual calender and other tissots (same model, different finishing. gold, titanium, black/blue/white dial). but i chose the cheapest from that model lineup. the gold finished model looked like an old man’s watch, and the blue/black dial looked kind of smallish. so i chose the silver watch with a white dial. was interested in the titanium version (sooooo light) but that was more expensive and i didnt want to burden my parents too much. or piss them off too much if or when i ruin this watch. lol. i even took a pic and put it in my pendrive to upload on this blog but the bloody pendrive has a few bloody viruses so i’ll just state down the model name. PR50 quartz, stainless steel with silver. anyways it came with a nice box set that had some pull down compartments and 2 booklets that 1) tell the history of the company and 2) shows all the models.

anyways, happy new year.

the open day. zz

December 21st, 2007 by rmzblur

in the past month, countless education fairs (and a few property fairs too, lol) were held. and considering that i am a potential student and in the perfect position to go (post dip, pre degree with alot of nbtd), i thought "hey, why dont i go? lotsa stuff to consider!" but alas, lazyness and general pessimism got the better of me (midvalley parking on weekends sucks, etc). so i didnt go. but when SEGi had their open day, i went. had contact with on of their agents on the forum i usually hang out at. so i went. after i picked up my parents at the airport. yeah, same day. 16th dec. the segi campus near my house (flagship campus, where the tv show radhi study go is shot at). and after asking around about fees and other options (segi offered 3 BEng courses, uni of sunderland, uni of sheffield, uni of south australia.) uni of sunderland 3+0, locally done. 3 years, rm52k total. sheffield 1+2, rm20k for 1st year, once i go there pay the rates there, which amounts to roughly rm100k/year. same with south australia. which means that it would be better if i went to the university reps agents offices and went straight overseas. since it costs the same. but parents werent willing to part with more money, so i registered with the sunderland course. maybe can get exemptions, hopefully can finish in 2 years. cheaper, closer to home ( no need to rent another house), even though the U of Sunderland isnt on the top universities list. hurm. the best compromise. which would be the title of my autobiography if i were to make one. heh.

it all started with a small flyer

December 21st, 2007 by rmzblur

ok. this is the story. about something. parents had been bugging me to go to the various property and housing fairs/expos to look for a place to stay at later on. so went to the one at midvalley (selangor one). didnt go to the other 3 ( i think), too lazy. anyways got alot of properties for sale at various locations. and they returned to malaysia last week. let them look at the various brochures and flyers. there was 1 small flyer. pkns flyer. on that 1 flyer alone got 10 projects, and no indication of the size, exact location or other details. but one of the small pictures caught their eyes. condo d’rozelle. i was like wtf? 1 small picture, tagline from rm175k, no indication of size, and that caught their eye? i told them to consider other options. subang area got a few projects, not too expensive, can get terrace houses, 22×70, 1.5k++ sq ft. not too far away, take jalan sungai buloh behind kota damansara about 5-10 minutes only. but mom had other plans. she said lets call them and have a view (that condo was at kota damansara oso section 10.). so i said, ok, lets look 1st. then consider other options. but then we went there. had a look, asked about normal stuff (size, how many units left, price, etc). then mom called pkns. went straight to pkns and booked the house. i was like ”wtf"? and already asked about parking. 1 unit 1 parking, but all the allocated extra parking spots were fully booked. so we have to park outside. like, fuck. the house we’re renting at right now may be small (around 800sq ft), but there is ample parking. that house is 1040sq feet and has better anemities but not enough parking. bloody idiots were cheapskates, didnt want to make multi level parking and didnt think the plan out. 1 block 100 units, 3 blocks, allocate AT LEAST 2 parking spots per house. from my observations, it was more like 1.2 spots per unit. already signed letter with lawyer, pkns should reply within 2-3 months. then can move in. haiz. the problem having a headstrong and controlling mom.

some ramblings

November 27th, 2007 by rmzblur

all my life i’ve been fascinated with how things worked and functioned. what makes something do what it does. like a car door latch, mechanical parts of a tamiya car, and what makes those parts superior to alternative parts(durability, weight, simplicity, easy to repair/maintain, ability to withstain different forces). Sometimes while walking around i would knock or rap my knuckles on structural supports, railings and walls to see how solid and dense it is and guess how much load its carrying. and how much it must have weighed. Or maybe thats because i had nothing better to do. thats how i got an A in my spm physics, i guess. but i didnt like calculations. i hated doing excercises. and my usually excellent memory fails me when it comes to formulas. and i didnt grasp some concepts of mechanics cos i didnt get to see it in action. which is why i sucked at all those subjects.

the trip to singapore. a few weeks ago. too lazy to check calender.

November 27th, 2007 by rmzblur

arrived at jb on saturday night, met with friend at tebrau aeon, went to his house in time to watch arsenal score late and draw with man u. in the morning went to jb city square, parked car there. took only a pouch bag containing passport and pen (talk about travelling light eh?). took bus from there to singapore. 90 cents(malaysian currency). stopped at woodlands, got down to pass through customs and imigration, then got on the bus again. went to dunno where(forgot). too mrt from there to the different tourist destinations. 1st stop was bugis street. oh, and on the mrt saw some1 who looked like rei amami. google if ur clueless. from bugis square walked to sim lim square and checked out pc peripherals. then took mrt to raffles square, walked around city hall, citylink, mandarin square and suntec convention centre. the houses there were mostly apartments and condos. so space is a luxury i guess.

production chart of the bloody operations

November 27th, 2007 by rmzblur

loading of the logs on the trucks at the log collecting site at rompin. fill in the delivery order with details of each log to be referred to and crossed out on the log list. once the trucks arrive at the sawmill, check the logs and d.o. to check for irregularities, make an invoice for the delivery order. then the logs are cut into planks in sizes that are in demand for that particular wood type and according to the saw doctor (different woods, different saw blades). once the planks are cut, it is sent to the warehouse to be organized into sizes, lengths, and wood types. then the daily tally is taken for each machine. after being organized, its then strapped and bundled. each bundle is 1 type of wood in 1 size in a few lengths, for example: chengal, 2×4 inches. usually 2-7 feet are in 1 bundle, 8 foot and upwards are in another bundle. u dont want 2 foot and 20 foot planks in the same bundle. that would be a nightmare for the person that counts the planks and logs the bundles (me). then the number of planks in the bundle is cross checked with the daily tally for any irregularities. then we do a packing list of 1 type of wood. for instance: kapor wood: bundles 2,3,4,5; in sizes 1/2×3, 1×4, 1.5×2.5, in which lengths, and number of planks. the packing list is sent to prospective customers. once they have confirmed the purchase, an invoice is made, once paid and loaded onto the trucks, a delivery order and receipt is given. then update the sales records, inventory records and accounts.
